First time visiting Gumbo's! It was an absolute pleasure! A family oriented environment. The staff was friendly and attentive. Oh, and the food! I really enjoyed my pick 3 sample dishes! I also tried the voodoo catfish, which was probably my favorite! Well, the cornbread was also my favorite...lol. All the dishes we ordered had a little kick to them but not too much! Lots of flavor in all the dishes we tried. We went on a Friday at 6 pm, and there was plenty of open seating. After 6 p.m., the parking was free. We were able to find a parking spot that was a short walk to the restaurant. I have to add that our leftovers reheated well and tasted even better the next day . I would definitely give them a 10/10! I will definitely be back to try out some other dishes on the menu!

What a Stunning Place !! Beautiful Decor, Quaint Vibes, love the hanging umbrellas for the New Orleans feel. Waitress was AMAZING, she answered our questions, kept checking on us when needed & the Bar Keep was so friendly as well. Other customers were nice & the place was well-kept. My ONLY suggestion would be some faint jazz music or something to really make it feel New Orleans. It was extremely quiet. Outside of that. We would definitely return to Gumbos .... Thank you for your hospitality !!

Our 1st visit was such a pleasant and tastey experience! We had the medley and cornbread after a catfish appetizer. Very flavorful and plentiful portions. Melt in your mouth catfish! Cornbread was like a moist cake. We saved it for last because it was that good! Had no room for dessert. NEXT TIME...BREAD PUDDING! Even the unsweetened iced tea was just right! Thank you for a fine, home cooked meal...we loved it and will return very soon with guests!

Excellent food, service and ambience. Courtney was whipping it up in the kitchen and the food was killer. I’ll be back!

Incredible restaurant hidden in pretty downtown Mt.Clemens. Start with your choice of three separate eating areas under on roof. Add the couple that own this gem. They were so friendly with top notch service. Of course the food was top of the line authentic southern cooking. The New Orleans sampler gives you three tasty picks. Very relaxing vibe with great background music. Did you figure out yet I loved this place. One of the very best since I started my reviews. Make this your next destination if your a foodie or just want a great tasting quality meal.
